Father of five battles colorectal cancer as hundreds run to raise awareness in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Hundreds gathered outside Sentara Princess Anne Hospital on Saturday for the “Don’t Sit on Colon Cancer” event, a community 5K and walk held during National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month is designated to encourage screenings, honor survivors, and fund research.
