Crews in Chesapeake respond to shed fire on Everett Street

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY)– An accidental fire has burned down a shed in the Portlock section of Chesapeake Tuesday morning.

According to officials, firefighters were called to the 4000 block of Everett Street just after 11 a.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. Crews arrived on scene within three minutes and reported three sheds, in close proximity to one another, on fire.

Firefighters quickly put water on the fire and were able to contain it to the area of sheds, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes. The fire was marked under control at 11:29 a.m.
