War on pollen leaves Hampton Roads on the defense

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The price of gas is high, the price of food is high and now the pollen count in Hampton Roads is sky high. Folks at Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach took on a foe that takes the fun out of time in the sun.

“It just makes me sneeze and it keeps me up at night,” said one walker as she soldiered on while following the trail. “I also have a nose that’s itchy and watery eyes.”
