Fire displaces 2 in rural Suffolk; no injuries reported

SUFFOLK, Va. — Two people were displaced after a house fire in rural Suffolk on Sunday afternoon.

The fire in the 6900 block of Old South Quay Road was reported at 3:30 p.m., according to Suffolk Department of Fire & Rescue. Firefighters arrived six minutes later to find heavy fire showing from the home. All occupants were already out of the home when firefighters arrived.

The fire was marked under control at 3:55 p.m., and there were no injuries. The American Red Cross is assisting two displaced adults…
