VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — An all-ages Oceanfront curfew for the next two weekends has been proposed in Virginia Beach as a measure to curb shootings and other crime in the wake of two mass shootings in that area in just over a month.
Councilman David Hutcheson told 10 On Your Side of the new, proposed curfew for an area of the Oceanfront from Rudee Loop to 31st Street on Atlantic and Pacific avenues.
A public hearing will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in the City Council Conference Room (Room 2034) in Building 1 at the Municipal Center before a council vote on the emergency measure.
