Another branch of Suffolk home builder must deal with eagles’ nests

VERMILION, OHIO (WAVY) — A lakeside town just west of Cleveland shares two things in common with Suffolk, nearly 600 miles away.

Both are considering major housing projects by builder Ryan Homes, with hundreds of homes involved. And both of the sites for those projects have current residents — eagles.

The Suffolk proposal for land between North Main Street and the Nansemond River owned by the Commonwealth would include about 500 townhomes and condos in a city of nearly 100,000 people…
