2nd largest law enforcement training facility in Virginia opens its doors in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Years in the making, the new Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy will now be able to train the next generation of law enforcement at the second-largest facility of its kind in Virginia.

The new facility has already been taking classes of recruits from across the region.

“This is an important day, not just for those of us here at the regional academy, but for the entire community that’s represented here,” said Williamsburg Police Chief Sean Dunn, “not just the law enforcement community, but the communities in which we serve as well.”…
