VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Multiple people were injured after a car crashed into the fenced outdoor patio of Murphy’s Irish Pub at the corner of Pacific Avenue and 30th Street at the Oceanfront Friday evening, Virginia Beach Police said.
A police spokesperson said the victims were taken to area hospitals with injuries ranging from life-threatening to non life-threatening.
Daniel Auxier was working valet across the street when he heard tires screaching. He said he was shocked by what happened.
“As soon as I looked up, they were going pretty fast and they just blew through the wall at Murphy’s,” Auxier said. “I saw bricks and smoke fly up through the air. A bunch of people jumped up, started screaming. And I just saw the passenger get out and sit down. He hasn’t stood up since.”…
