HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — This year’s Youth Violence Prevention Week began in Hampton Sunday, according to the City of Hampton’s Office of Youth and Young Adult Opportunities.
Running from April 19 to April 24, the week is intended to prevent gun violence and feature meaningful community gatherings. The Reunion of Hope and the Hope, Hampton, Football Showcase events at the YH Thomas Community Center on April 19 and April 20 respectively are open to the public.
