SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — “We’ve raised over $800,000 in 10 days” — the rallying cry for the 40 or so who showed up for the Constructing Hope Event at the St. Jude Dream Home in Suffolk, the first time St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has held such event in Hampton Roads.
“The Constructing Hope Event is set up for contractors and vendors who have donated their time, their services, their products for the dream and this was the first one,” said St. Jude area advisor Ariana Rogers, “so we wanted to thank them and bring a little bit of the mission to the house.”
