SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Instead of dancing at her senior prom this past weekend, Franklin High School senior, Hillary Moore, was undergoing surgery for a fractured pelvis following a crash on Route 58.
The accident occurred late Friday night near the Pruden Boulevard exit in Suffolk. Photos from the scene show the devastating impact, where Moore’s car became pinned underneath a tractor-trailer. It took the coordinated efforts of Suffolk Fire and Rescue to extricate the 17-year-old from the wreckage before she was taken to Norfolk via Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance.
