Geriatric river otter Homer passes away at Virginia Aquarium

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. (WAVY) — Homer, the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center’s much-loved North American river otter, was humanely euthanized Wednesday afternoon.

Homer was a geriatric otter who passed away at 16 years old and had been with the Virginia Aquarium for 15 years.
