Virginia-based Navy serviceman charged after teen flown to Norfolk, found in Virginia Beach

NORFOLK, Va. — A Virginia-based Navy serviceman is facing a federal charge after investigators say a missing 14-year-old girl from Louisiana was flown to the Hampton Roads area and later found in a Virginia Beach hotel.

According to a criminal complaint filed in the Western District of Louisiana, 27-year-old Sadiq Rauf Perry is charged with transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. If convicted, he faces a sentence ranging from 10 years to life in prison.
