Alleged shoplifter caught after $1.2K in stolen vacuums

DENVER (KDVR) — A suspect is in custody after a monthlong shoplifting spree of vacuums at a Highlands Ranch Target store, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The scheme involved multiple incidents at the store, and the alleged shoplifter stole more than $1,200 worth of vacuums, according to the sheriff’s office.

In the most recent attempt, the sheriff’s office said Target employees saw the suspect removing security devices from merchandise, prompting a call to the sheriff’s office.
