NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Eduardo Perez-Legra in Newport News, Virginia, on May 4, after finding him in possession of various drugs. According to a release from Homeland Security, Perez-Legra was in the country illegally and has multiple prior felony drug convictions.
During a post-arrest search, according to Homeland Security, law enforcement seized 19.5 grams of cocaine, 101 oxycodone pills, 5 fentanyl pills and 27 individually packaged suboxone sublingual films. Perez-Legra has a criminal history that includes four felony convictions for drug trafficking and two felony convictions for cocaine possession. He became a green-card holder in 2004, a status he lost in 2011 due to a felony conviction, which also made him eligible for removal.
