Chicago investment promoter defrauded dozens of clients: lawsuit

Seventeen years after Brandon Ellington pleaded guilty to bank fraud in a sweeping federal mortgage case, dozens of former clients say they were unaware of that history when they invested with him, and now claim they were defrauded as well.
