(WIFR) – ComEd asks customers to reduce their energy usage as it says demand on the power grid in northern Illinois has reached a “critical level.”
The request comes as the Midwest enters day three of a scorching heat wave.
The areas most affected are several Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs in Cook County, including Berwyn, Cicero and Oak Park.
