An off-duty Chicago police sergeant was in the right place at the right time when she rescued several individuals from a sinking boat over the Fourth of July weekend.

Sgt. Christoria King spoke to ABC 7 Chicago, recalling how seeing a “flicker of light” during dense fog on the evening of Saturday, July 4 led her to four people in distress on Lake Michigan.
