A woman is suing Wendy’s after allegedly consuming a double cheeseburger left her in the hospital.
Roxie Ellis Douglas claims the fast-food chain infected her with a bacterial illness after eating their food. She filed the complaint on July 30. She alleges her meal was “not fit” for human consumption, according to the complaint obtained by People.
The case was filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, but Wendy’s requested that it be transferred to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Aug. 20. The company also asked for a trial by jury…
