Lovesac, the furniture retailer that recently opened a showroom on Chicago’s Southport Corridor, has found itself at the center of a national social media controversy after a comedian’s viral complaint about assembling one of the company’s couches escalated into a much larger debate over customer service, social media strategy and the response from the company’s CEO.
The controversy began August 18 when Dallas-based comedian and content creator Deric Cahill posted a video documenting the delivery and assembly of his new Lovesac Sactional.
