Forecasters from the National Weather Service say conditions are favorable for the development of funnel clouds Thursday afternoon.
According to a special weather statement, those conditions are possible to the south and the west of Chicago, especially in LaSalle, Grundy, Kankakee and Will counties on Thursday afternoon.
While the funnel clouds are expected to only protrude a few hundred feet beneath the clouds on Thursday, it is still possible they could touch the ground and produce some minimal damage in impacted locations…
