Diver’s body recovered from Lake Michigan shipwreck site

The body of a scuba diver was recovered this week from a Lake Michigan shipwreck site off the Chicago shoreline, Diver Net reports.

Michael Jones, 61, of Wilmette, Ill., died on Sept. 4 while exploring a deep shipwreck about 18 miles off the coast, the report said. His body was recovered by volunteers on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from a depth of about 160 feet.

Jones was an experienced recreational technical diver, the report said. The circumstances of his death have not been made public…
