The Chicago rap scene is in alleged mourning this morning (Sunday, September 13), as reports of the death of BloodHound Q50 emerged. According to ABC7 and CBS local reports, a shooting occurred in the wee hours of Sunday morning at the 4200 block of S. Wentworth Avenue, according to police.
The outlets have different reports when it comes to when this shooting occurred, but reports indicate it happened between 4AM and 6AM local time. However, these reports do not identify the victim as the drill rapper, and did not provide any more information about what happened.
After this news broke, other outlets like DJ Vlad and Rolling Loud paid tribute to Q50 on social media, and alleged audio clips of the police dispatch surfaced online. According to the Chicago Police Department, the 22-year-old victim of the shooting was sitting in the driver’s seat of a car when two other cars pulled up next to him and multiple assailants shot at him. He was shot in the shoulder and chest and died at the scene, police reportedly relayed amid a homicide investigation.
