MOUNT GREENWOOD — The closure of a section of a major roadway in Mount Greenwood surprised drivers Monday morning, and officials now say it could last two weeks.
On Monday, the railroad crossing on 111th Street near Sacramento Avenue was closed as crews from CSX performed work along the tracks.
Cars traveling between Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park were forced to perform U-turns and find alternative routes to get between the two neighborhoods. Both 103rd Street and 115th Street remain open…
