CHICAGO (WGN) — Chicago police say a man is in custody after a woman was killed in a stabbing overnight in Englewood on the city’s South Side.
According to police, the woman, whose identity was not given, was found on the ground with a stab wound to her neck just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 7300 block of South Emerald Avenue. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Officers canvassing the area then found a man, whose identity was also not given, lying on a nearby porch with a sharp object in his hand and a stab wound to his right arm. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
