Brookfield police cited a 53-year-old Brookfield woman and a 56-year-old LaGrange man on Sept. 18 for illegally selling alcohol without a liquor license.
Around 5:30 p.m., an officer was dispatched to La Cabañita on Ogden Avenue for an alcohol compliance check after village administration told police the business was reportedly serving alcoholic beverages without a valid liquor license, having been cited in June for the same offense.
The officer entered the restaurant and spoke to two employees to ask about the sale of alcoholic beverage without a license, which one of the employees confirmed.
