Golfers at Canal Shores no longer have to choose between a great round and a great meal. The Fringe, a new bar and grill on the patio at The Evans, opened Sept. 23.
“The Fringe has been open for several private functions and is now operating Wednesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.,” said Bill Sullivan, executive director of Canal Shores Golf Club, 1030 Central St.
The menu leans casual and hearty for now: breakfast sandwiches, burgers, brats and deli sandwiches, all priced $9 to $10, plus beer, wine and cocktails. This reporter can vouch that the Breakfast Sando ($10) — Benton’s bacon, egg, cheese and avocado piled on an English muffin — was delicious. Sullivan expects the menu to grow over the next two years…
