A murder suspect who was under scrutiny for killing eight people in a suburban Chicago area shot himself to death after a confrontation with the police in Texas.
This man, Romeo Nance, was located by U.S. Marshals in Texas near Natalia. During a confrontation with the Marshalls, Nance killed himself by shooting.
The Sheriff’s office of Medina County said that they received a call about a person being suspected of the Chicago killings heading into the county on Interstate 35.
He was soon confronted at a gas station, where he eventually shot himself in front of everyone out of fear of not escaping. Nance was already on the loose ever since he became the suspect in the eight killings at three locations in Chicago suburbs.
Police said they are unaware of the reasons for the killings. However, it has been confirmed that Nance was familiar with all the victims. The FBI’s Fugitive Task Force assisted local police in searching for the suspect.
The victims were found killed on Sunday and Monday in three separate places. One of the homicide victims was found victim on Sunday in a home in Will County. Seven other victims were found dead in their homes on the same block.
