A city councilman from a suburb of Chicago recently suggested that a sign-up list be created to allow local residents to volunteer to host illegal immigrants in their homes. According to Turning Point USA, Naperville Councilman Josh McBroom recently proposed the initiative during a city council meeting on January 16. Introducing his proposal, the councilman explained, “I do know that there’s a lot of people that do care, and I think we live in a compassionate community.”
