CHICAGO — Three armed robberies were committed in less than an hour early Monday morning.
A 35-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were walking on a sidewalk in the 500 block of West Diversey at around 2:25 a.m. when four males exited a black sedan.
The man was struck with a handgun and forced to the ground. The man and woman’s wallets and phone were stolen at gunpoint.
At around 2:40 a.m., a 26-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman were walking in the 900 block of West Weed when an armed male exited a black sedan. A purse, phones and other items were stolen.
A 55-year-old man was walking in the 0-100 block of east 11th Street when four males exited a black sedan. The man was struck in the face with a handgun and his wallet and backpack were stolen at gunpoint.
