Two knife-wielding incidents prompts urgent police investigation
Two retail establishments on the city’s Northwest Side were robbed at knifepoint on Sunday night.
During both incidents, an unidentified perpetrator forcibly entered each retail store, brandishing a knife, and announced an intent to commit robbery. The assailant successfully executed the robberies, making off with an undisclosed amount of money before swiftly fleeing the crime scenes.
The targeted locations and times of the incidents are as follows:
- 4300 block of North Kedzie Avenue on Feb. 4 at 7:06 p.m.
- 3100 block of West Irving Park Road on Feb. 4 at 7:27 p.m.
According to Chicago police, the suspect is described as an American-Hispanic male aged between 16 and 18, with a light complexion. Standing at approximately six feet one inch tall and weighing around 220 pounds, the offender remains at large.
