Search underway for woman missing for several days

CHICAGO — A search is underway on Saturday for a woman who police say has been missing for several days.

According to Chicago police, 57-year-old Bridgette Silas has not been heard from since Wednesday.

Officers say the missing woman, who has black hair and brown eyes, stands 6-foot-1 and weighs around 190 pounds. Officers say she also has a faded birthmark on her shoulder, though it is unclear on which side.

Authorities say Silas is known to frequent areas near the 1000 block of West Wilson Avenue in Uptown.
