Accused duo allegedly stole thousands in merchandise from various stores in Chicago
Chicago law enforcement officials have brought charges against two young girls, aged 12 and 17, following a series of retail thefts spanning several neighborhoods.
The accused individuals stand accused of shoplifting merchandise worth thousands of dollars from establishments situated across the North, Near North, and Near Northwest sides of Chicago. Reports indicate that certain locations fell victim to repeated incidents of theft.
The alleged thefts, which date back to November, occurred at various dates and Chicago locations:
- On February 5, 7, and 8, in the 4400 block of North Broadway, Uptown.
- On November 15, January 10, and January 23, in the 3200 block of North Clark Street, Lakeview/Wrigleyville.
- On January 26, in the 500 block of West Webster Avenue, Lincoln Park.
- On January 24, in the 3300 block of North Ashland Avenue, Lakeview.
- On January 10, in the 1600 block of West Division Street, Wicker Park.
Additionally, the 12-year-old girl faces charges related to a January 24 incident in the 1100 block of West Jackson Boulevard on the Near West Side. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old is implicated in a January 18 robbery in the 1600 block of West Division Street.
