Man who bound wrists, ankles of cellphone store employees during armed robbery sentenced to 23 years in prison

CHICAGO – A former Calumet City man will spend 23 years in prison for robbing a suburban cellphone store at gunpoint in late 2019. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, who announced the sentence in a news release, said 25-year-old Denzel Furance was handed down the sentence during a hearing on Tuesday afternoon.
