CHICAGO — A death investigation is underway after a man and a woman were found dead inside a South Side home Friday.
According to police, a 50-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were found unconscious inside a home in the 8100 block of South Cornell Avenue around 2:08 p.m. Friday.

The woman sustained multiple stab wounds throughout her body and the man sustained a single gunshot to the head. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.
The woman was identified as 50-year-old Tomica Goodwin.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation. There is currently no one in custody.
