Authorities probe fatalities of woman, man found deceased in South Side residence
Law enforcement officials have launched a death investigation following the tragic discovery of a deceased man and woman within a South Side Chicago residence on Friday. According to police reports, the individuals, a 50-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, were found unresponsive at a property located in the 8100 block of South Cornell Avenue around 2:08 p.m. on Friday.
The woman sustained multiple stab wounds across her body, while the man suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Identified as Tomica Goodwin, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene alongside the man. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, with no suspects currently in custody.
