Arrest made in connection with deadly shooting outside southwest suburban bar

MCCOOK, Ill. — One person has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting outside of a southwest suburban bar that left a man dead and another injured early Saturday morning.

According to McCook police, the shooting unfolded in the early morning hours in the parking lot of All-Star Bar & Grill in the 7900 block of 47th Street.

After officers arrived on the scene, they found two people who had both been shot multiple times about half a block south of the bar’s parking lot.

Both victims were then taken to the hospital where one was pronounced dead upon arrival and the other remains in critical condition.

McCook police announced an arrest in connection with the deadly shooting on Sunday afternoon but did not identify the suspect or detail any pending charges.

The announcement was made in a Facebook post around 5 p.m.
