“Lincoln Is Crying” screening at The Crystal Theatre examines political corruption with a wink and a smile

A new documentary film about political corruption in Chicago and throughout Illinois will be screened at The Crystal Theatre in July. “Lincoln is Crying: The Grifters, Grafters, and Governors of Illinois” is a “scathing indictment of political corruption in Illinois…and it’s funny, too.” The film was put together by the team of Director John Davies and Executive Producers Dave Truitt and Brian Kallies, and the story is told by journalists, authors, entertainers, and more. It is currently available as a one-hour censored version on WNMU-TV and the PBS Passport, but the screening at The Crystal Theatre will be the 4K, 86-minute uncensored version.
