Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is amid a historic WNBA rookie season. Entering Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks averaging 13.3 points and 13.2 rebounds, Reese has broken multiple records with her rebounding and double-doubles.
While her per-game averages are impressive, Reese has struggled quite a bit from the field. Converting on just 38.4 percent of her field goal attempts entering Friday, Reese has also made just 15.4 percent of her three-point attempts.
Given these percentages, opposing defenses will often concede Reese jump shots. That was on full display during Friday’s Sky vs. Sparks game, as Reese shot an airball while wide open.
Reese has been going viral for her wide open airball, as this post from BricksCenter on X already has 23,000 views in less than an hour. Multiple other big accounts have posted Reese’s bad miss, including Hater Report, which has 105,000 followers.
