A’s 2025 Home Opener Against Cubs in Sacramento Sees Sky-High Ticket Prices of Up to $1,000

The Oakland A’s are set to kick off their 2025 home schedule in Sacramento with a highly anticipated matchup against the Chicago Cubs. As this marks the A’s first-ever game in Sacramento and given the Cubs’ large traveling fan base, demand for tickets is soaring, leading to some astronomical prices on resale platforms like StubHub.

The home opener will take place in a venue with limited capacity — only 10,000 physical seats and an additional 4,000 spots on the grassy hill in right field, making the total around 14,000. This tight supply is likely contributing to the spike in resale prices. Currently, the cheapest ticket listed on StubHub is priced at $969 for a seat in section 103, row 11, down the right field line. For a pair of tickets, fans are looking at nearly $2,000 just to attend.

While these are resale prices, the A’s official ticket prices are expected to range between $183 and $244. As fans eagerly await the 2025 season opener, many will be keeping a close eye on the market to see if prices become more accessible.
