Officers in Chicago’s south suburbs shoot at suspect who raises gun in stolen car, police say

RIVERDALE, Ill. (CBS) — Officers in south suburban Riverdale fired shots Sunday after someone in a stolen car pointed a gun at them, police said. Around 12:15 p.m., Riverdale police officers spotted a stolen vehicle heading through town and tried to pull it over, police said. But even before the officers turned on the lights and sirens in their squad car, the car went onto the sidewalk into an attempt to flee, police said.
