Aldi to Open 2 New California Markets

The Aldi grocery store chain opened its first US store in Iowa in 1976. The company, whose roots trace back to Essen, Germany, has since expanded to more than 2,400 stores across the country. In March, the Batavia, Illinois-headquartered company announced an ambitious plan to open 800 new US stores by the end of 2028. Two of these new markets are coming to Southern California.

Here is when and where:

On October 17—9340 Mira Mesa Boulevard, San Diego

On October 24th— 23330 El Toro Road, Lake Forest

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 8:30 AM on the grand opening date for both locations. The stores will open for business approximately 30 minutes later. These new stores will bring the total number of Aldi locations in California to 106.
