Woman charged with murder after deadly stabbing on CTA bus

CHICAGO – A woman has been charged with murder after a deadly stabbing aboard a CTA bus .

Chicago police said the stabbing happened just after 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 aboard a CTA bus in the 200 block of South Cicero Avenue.

A 49-year-old man got into an argument with a woman, identified as 43-year-old Nicole Dugar, while on the bus. That’s when Dugar reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the chest, according to investigators.

Possible skeletal remains discovered in Bolingbrook

The man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he died while Dugar ran off.

On Monday, police said they arrested Dugar in the 0-100 block of South Cicero Avenue. She has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of murder – strong probability of death/injury.

Dugar has a court hearing scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 23.
