CHICAGO – A man was killed and 10 others were wounded in New Year’s Day shootings across Chicago. The city’s first homicide of 2025 was reported at 3:30 a.m., in the Princeton Park neighborhood. Police officers found a 29-year-old man with two gunshot wounds in the 9400 block of South Harvard Avenue. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified yet by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
