Man accused of killing ex-wife in Northwest Indiana believed to be in Chicago

HAMMOND, Ind. – Authorities in Chicago and Northwest Indiana are searching for a man accused of killing his ex-wife.

The U.S. Marshals Service said 39-year-old Allen Oscar Woods of Hammond, Indiana, has been charged in Lake Criminal Court with the shooting death of his ex-wife Tiffany Woods.

Allen is believed to have recently been in the 200 block of East Walton Street in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a white hoodie and thick black glasses and is believed to be traveling by public transportation, according to investigators.

Allen is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 162 pounds.

Law enforcement agencies are working on a possible reward for information leading to his arrest.

This announcement comes after a woman was shot and killed in Hammond, Indiana on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 . It is unclear if this is the same shooting Allen is allegedly responsible for.
