CHICAGO – Jeannie Wells will not give up the search for answers regarding her father’s death.
“I miss my dad so much,” Jeannie said. “It might’ve been four years ago, but to me it fells like it just happened.”
Her father Andrew Wells was killed in a hit-and-run crash in January of 2021 on Laramie while running daily errands.
“His normal walk that he would take every day in the neighborhood. He’d go by a gas station and sometimes frequent the McDonald’s with the other retirees,” Jeannie said.

On Saturday, Cook County Crime Stoppers handed out new fliers.
“We need help. We need the community’s help now to get this case solved,” said George McDade with Cook County Crime Stoppers. “He’s a pillar of the community. He’s a great guy. He didn’t deserve this.”
This is not the first time McDade has worked this case. A $1,000 reward has also been offered for information leading to an arrest.
“We need someone to give the information. Somebody knows,” McDade said.
