In an unsettling display of violence on public transportation, a victim was assaulted and robbed early this month. Per the alert, the attack occurred in the 0-100 block of W. 69th St. in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood on January 2, 2025, around 2:27 AM. After the victim requested the offenders to refrain from smoking on the train, the situation quickly escalated. The offenders, described as three African-American males, engaged in physical violence, hitting the victim with closed fists and ultimately taking a bag containing personal items such as a wallet, IDs, and debit cards.
