Airplane strikes aircraft tug at O’Hare Airport, driver critically injured, Chicago police say

The driver of an aircraft tug was critically injured after the vehicle was struck by an airplane Saturday at O’Hare Airport. ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch The crash happened around 6:58 p.m. in the 0-100 block of West Twya Street at O’Hare, Chicago police said. The tug was hit by the wing of the aircraft as it attempted to cross the runway police said. The drive of the tug was pinned under it when it flipped over due to the collision. The driver, a 64-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in critical condition with injuries to the head and body, police said.
