CTU leaders subpoenaed to produce texts, emails for Martinez lawsuit

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – The president and vice president of the Chicago Teachers Union are fighting subpoenas related to a lawsuit filed against the school board by the CEO.

Stacy Davis Gates and Jackson Potter were subpoenaed to produce communication, including text messages and emails, sent to or received from school board members as well as the mayor.

This comes after outgoing CEO Pedro Martinez sued the board, accusing members of “obstructing” the “performance of his job duties.”…
