South suburban man charged with threatening Governor Pritzker

CRETE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A man from the south suburbs is due in court this morning for a detention hearing after allegedly threatening Governor JB Pritzker.

Michael Dascenzo faces felony counts of threatening a public official and harassment by electronic communications.

Illinois State Police said the 49-year-old from south suburban Crete sent a threatening email to the governor’s office on Jan. 9. They did not specify what he allegedly wrote but arrested him Tuesday after an investigation…
